Learning from Community Golds spreadsheet for basic mission strats: Here
I use this document mostly for notes to myself and people who are interested in helping me route. Scrolling down for the ‘Definition’ chapter might yield information that is interesting to others too though.
Map of collectibles and other crap:
Stream Plans / Test This:
- Offroad events.
- Children of the Mountain
- Explore after Fame or Shame. This seems to be where shit opens up a bit.
- Simeon Random Event before or after The Long Stretch?
- Can Ursula be glitch called if you eat her? And does it store her number? - Supposedly if she is delivered last, her event is marked incomplete and can be done again.
- Heist member skill progress. Can you farm it with replay mission?
- Can killed Heist Members be reused in replays?
- What happens if you fail The Good Husband after losing the popo?
- Doing Jewel Store the bugstars way is apparently canon. It also yields 1 extra mission, and the bugstars outfit. Should it be required? Or does the outfit unlock regardless? However, doing it the loud way yields a different outfit? Check.
- How many cars/copters/planes/boats can be bought?
Future notes:
Quick early money:
- Animal Ark stock from Random Event (100k from instant cashout)
- Some random event that gives 60k
None of these are big cashouts compared to the endgame, and abusing the stock market is needed regardless to get that darn golf course.
Random information:
Wanted level timeout times:
1 star - 30s ❋ 2 stars - 37.5s ❋ 3 stars - 45s ❋ 4 stars - 56.25s ❋ 5 stars - 82.5s
Random Events:
Spawn under conditions:
- Speed less than 133 km/h (by code) / 82 mph
- Sleep Mode off
- Not in interior
- Not in benchmark
- Car is ‘driveable’ (whatever that means)
- 150 seconds since last random event
- Obvious stuff like OM0, no wanted level, etc
- 40 seconds since story mission or saveload.

Gets Simeon USJ during Franklin & Lamar
Then sleeps once
Reposession gets that one USJ obvs.
Hao after Tonya. Phone open to prevent it from despawning
After race Security Van. Kills the carrier guy. Then Franklin
Chop takes the green ramp
Shooting range after Complications, where he buys grenades.
Runs during challenge after getting min score and during countdown. To farm stamina?
Gets the two offramp USJs during Boat chase. This will prevent gold medal? Cinematic camera resets car.
Letter after Daddys Girl
Then warps to Michael’s, hangs Franklin. Visiting a bar and the cinema, then goes for Bike Thief random event near Mirror Park.
Letter during Casing.
Porno dance after heist.
During Home Invasion, gets a suppressor for the pistol.
Also tear gas + grenades. Then the shotgun.
Doesnt do sewer USJ during Home Invasion drive back.
Streetrace just up the road. Uses TLS car for it. Doesnt visit Simeon but could.
Then uses a hooker from the parking lot, and then on white pavement across the street.
Then paparazzo 1.
He then calls Lamar on the way to Michael.
==============================================
Guess what USJ he does on the Trevor mission 1
Only gets the 5 most obvious bridges on the way back on Nervous Ron
Buys the Hangar. Then goes down the runway with his buggy to do a random event across the clothes store. THen he grabs the letter in the tarpy fields of Roseberry.
Friends Reunited: Motel jump, Vinewood stunt. Instant switch to Fame or Shame
==============================================
Fame or Shame straight to Dead Man Walking. No colelctibles or nothing.
After DMW, starts TPI from the replay mission menu, fails it by dying, and returns.Seems to be the same as QS warping.
Michael buys car scrapyard + letter + usj after 3s Company. Then switch to Franklin. Doesn’t put him with the shitty bagger but with the Buffalo. Franklin then does the Weed mission introduction. Then paparazzo 2. Then he does a weird deathwarp to Sandy Shores using the ‘cant go into online’ menu? Maybe also something to do with restarting TPI.
Then change to Trevor, not in Heli, to QS warp to his house.
Definition
The general idea is: If at the end of the entire playthrough, there will be evidence that you have done a thing, that thing is required. Otherwise, it's not. OR if you can load any save and somehow figure out whether that save has done a thing or not, that thing is required. Otherwise, it's not. Making people watch a 24 hour video just to prove to them: “Look I did it” should not be needed.
Game Version
New Gen (PC, Xbone, PS4) with returning player sans DLC. Version 1.27
To adjust to your own version: Simply exclude everything that isn't present in your version.
Category Name
I think 'true 100%' is not a good category name, because what does 'true' even mean? ‘100%+’ seems like a much less ambiguous term that isn’t unheard of already either. There could maybe be a varying amount of +'s depending on the game version, which affects content: Old gen, New gen, New gen w/ returning players reward.
Leaderboards
As far as leaderboards go, it's too early to even consider making those right now. If in the distant future one does end up being made, I think the use of variables and flags should be a necessity to differentiate between different game versions and possibly different definitions of 'the category that involves doing more than 100%'.
Requirements
1 - The Obvious
These should definitely be required, based on what previous GTAs were like, or because they’re some of the most obviously trackable things.
- 69 Missions
- 61 Hobbies and Pastimes
- 58 Strangers and Freaks (referred to as ‘Quests’ in this doc. (Short for ‘Question Mark Missions’))
- 60 Random Events
- 30 Misc
- All USJ + Flights, not just half
- All properties purchased
- All epsilon tracts
- 27 peyote plants
*This page includes missable stuff, like Simeon's random event, and all of Michael/Trevor's S&F missions.
2 - The Reasonable
I think these should be required, but if you have a good reason I might be convinced for them not to. "It's dumb" is not a good reason and I don't fully agree with it. Paramedic in GTA3D era is dumb too, and that’s not even a 100% + thing.
- Getting gold medals on all missions/races/shooting range/etc
- Clearing the altruist camp
- Michael's three family missions, triggered by phonecall
- The last therapy session, where you can kill Dr. Friendlander
- Talking to all the special characters which appear with a white blip on the map (these can be used in director mode after)
- A 28th bonus peyote plant (does this exist?)
- The Murder Mystery thing for returning players
- Completing all the challenges for the hunting minigame.
- The silly children of the mountain website minigame which gives a t-shirt
- Completing the Rail Gun ammunation challenge
3 - The Dumb
I really don't want these to be required, because they're dumb (some more than others), but that's not a good reason, so they should be required. Please convince me otherwise:
- Unlocking all the golf opponents. Involves playing golf 3 times. Beating them too, if this leaves any checkmarks or the likes.
- Getting a checkmark next to all weapons in the shooting range. Involves starting the challenge with all of these then backing out immediately.
- Max Stats. In GTAO these decrease over time, however they don't seem to in SP. Someone confirm/refute this, it would be a good reason to exclude this.
- Purchase/collect all clothing
- Unlock and keep alive all heist members
- Keep all three protagonists alive, in other words Ending C. This one doesn’t matter, since you’d have to do all three missions using the replay menu anyway. Not to mention that Trevor has post-finale S&F missions so his ending is out of the question anyway.
- Collect all the special outfits. Most notably: Triathlon outfits require completion of a triathlon with each character.
- All of the category 1 and 2 stuff that are tracked and rewarded per character and therefore can be done three times (eg. Shooting Range & Flight School)
4 - The Problematic
Tracked, but there’s a good reason not to include them. Some of these will end up being required, some of them not:
- Have all strippers like you enough that they are cool with double dances (this involves staring at polygon boobs for like half an hour). Not sure if Twitch/Youtube will like this. It also is just pressing a button repeatedly, very dull. Guess it can be avoided by putting some overlay on Twitch. - This can supposedly be lowered by killing a stripper in the club or during a booty call. Will their phone number be retained? This could be a good reason to not do this, or at least not the prude ones.
- Acquiring all phone contacts. Other than the strippers, the only problematic ones are Liz and Ursula. Both can be acquired by glitch calling them for a booty. No missions needed.
- Acquiring Ursula/Liz’s number three times. Being able to call them can be considered a glitch. If glitchgoals become required, that’d not be future proof once more complicated stuff gets discovered (like ACE lol)
- Do a booty call with every bootycallable three times. Apparently this unlocks them doing blowjobs in the car?
- Steam/R*SC achievements. However, there seems to be no real way of resetting these for a new game or reacquiring them for a loaded save.
- Exploring the entire map so it all shows up in the map menu. A bit difficult to track due to the way the map fades. Some blank spots, particularly around the edges, may be hard to distinguish from unexplored spots.
- Golden Peyote plants and unlocking Mr Beast. Is this even in 1.27?
5 - The Untracked And Therefore Not Required
At the end of the game there will be no evidence that these have or haven't been done. Unless I am wrong and there is some evidence to be found. Please point me to it if that's the case. Some of these are in this list because gta wikia (lol) deems them important enough to mention on the '100% requirements' page that these are NOT required. Most of these would go into categories 2 or 3 otherwise.
- Acquiring all weapons. Getting busted removes your equipped weapon. It is possible to undo completion this way.
- The first four (missable) therapy sessions
- Beating every different tennis/golf opponent
- Doing tennis/yoga on every possible location
- Landing a helicopter on every roof
- Purchasing every tattoo. They can be bought then 'unbought' leaving no trace that that specific one has been bought ever.
- Watching all tv shows and cinema movies
- Hidden packages (who named these even?)
- Picking up all medkits (this item is here to show how dumb the above one is)
- Taxi Driver (honking the horn while in a cab, no purchase of the company required.)
- Property Management missions, including private taxi fares. These repeat.
- Robbing all 19 stores (trevor's crack lab cannot be robbed)
- Doing all ATM robbery hero rescue missions. They respawn.
- Visiting any of the easter eggs.
- All heist setups, because they’re mutually exclusive.
- Max score in challenges. So long as a gold medal is achieved, there is no way of telling what the maximum score is for many challenges and this would only be doable by TAS.
6 - The Speedrun Rules
These are self imposed restrictions commonly applied in many speedruns of this game. Apply to your own liking.
- Taxis: I don’t mind them much for long distance skipping, but they really dumb down routing for collectibles and short distance drives. I might go for not using them. Will decide later. Using these on missions often voids a particular Gold Medal requirement, so often these aren’t viable anyway, but they’re still useful for in-between missions. This stat is tracked by ‘Distance traveled as a taxi passenger’ in the stats and on Social Club.
- Missions Skips: These are particularly dumb, but often they void many Gold Medal requirements, so their use would be limited. Still, it might be more fun to ‘ban’ these altogether for the few cases where they do come in useful. (That also saves me having to test shit).
- OM0 Mission Skip Instapassing: I haven’t tested anything with this, but I imagine these too void many Gold Medal rules. They might be just plain not worth going for at all. Though more elaborate than missions skips, I might consider using these.
- Director Mode Shenanigans: I think this breaks the entire game? And in bad ways too. I’m not sure the main speedrunning community even settled on this yet. Safer to not use these.
- Other warps: Hangout warps/save warps/etc.: These are much more limited in possibilities so I will be using them.
7 - The Forgotten
I may have forgotten stuff, this game does have a fair share of content, most of which is hidden. Let me know if I did.
My approach
To come up with this definition, I took a list on GTA Wikia (things not required for 100%), added stuff to it that I know existed but wasn't on there, then proceeded to do those things in a casual playthrough to see if they were tracked somehow. If after I did them there was evidence that I've done them, I would mark them as required. If there was no evidence, I would mark them as not required. This seemed to me to be the most solid definition with the least amount of gray area, however it does also come with a lot of silly shit, like buying all the clothes. At first i considered 'what would R* have decided if this was GTA3?', but it left too much grey area. 🟡Mission: Prologue
Notes to self
- You can get a quick line between the 3 aim targets. Spam phone button works.
- FPS running faster to vault. Exit FPS on exit vault.
- Jump out of cover and have Michael push you.
Prologue skip:
- Make car leak fuel by shooting back tire gas tank ~3 times
- Throw car into trigger zone by jumping out (@ large white patch after black stroke)
- Light fuel trail on fire (from about one wheel’s diameter behind the car)
- Enter car and hope it gets destroyed during the cutscene.
Gold Medal
No requirements.
Mission skips possible:
- Shooting M instead of the guard to start of outdoors fight
- Running away back inside skips to entering car cutscene
Skipping the drive is not faster than doing the fuel skip it seems
🟡Mission: Franklin & Lamar
Notes to self
- Hauls all the way, but go slow upon entering the film studios and after.
- Upon going down the ramp, Lamar should be on the perpendicular approach road (one turn left for him to catch up)
- Going real slow ahead of Lamar. Upon entering tunnel, his dot needs to be vaguely visible.
- Seems to be using the character switch menu to abort/prevent dialogue in Simeon's store while walking out
- Run to Buffalo in FPS. Just get in asap.
- Calls 911 to stop dialogue.
Gold Medal
- No DMG
- Ability for 7 seconds (which is 14 in real time?)
- Dont hit the aliens
- Beat Lamar to the race
Collectibles
- MM #5: During initial race. Lord knows. Probably gives Lamar time to catch up if we don't 'lose' him first.
- MM #29: During initial race. Lord knows. Probably gives Lamar time to catch up if we don't 'lose' him first.
- USJ #7: Done in all USJs, but tight timing to win the race for Gold
- MM #30: Probably gets swarmed with cops because you need to stand on a car iirc
- USJ #16: While waiting for the cops to disappear
- USJ #6: While waiting for the cops to disappear
- MM #1: While waiting for the cops to disappear
- MM #3: While waiting for the cops to disappear, but likely too far out of the way with better options available.
Grabbing the sticky bombs might be an idea if we need to wait for Lamar anyway, as it allows us to do securicar events sooner.
After
You can press F into the Buffalo as the door opens, it will block it, then tp you in. Probably want to sleep (twice?) so the time of day is right to do streetrace after Pulling Favors.
🟡Mission: Repossession
Notes to self
- FPS run inside, punch at the end.
- Park car backwards against the fence
- Hug the fence, all the way left, and then you can first person push Lamar
- Push him well enough it skips him punching the dude.
- Can regain sprint by stepping back a bit.
- Abandon Lamar by square hatch on floor?
- Shoot first guy upon leaving the garage, climb the small brick wall on the left, seems to spawn all the enemies. Then:
- Lower balcony
- Upper balcony
- Gas tank
- Four guys left to right
- Shooting the pistol after for tab running
- Alley on right, quick Bagger steal.
- Jump off bike at the end to skip something?
Gold Medal
- 6m30
- 70% accuracy
- 6 headshots
- Shoot the gasoline trail
Collectibles
- USJ #44: Even the any% route does this
- MM #50: A bit out of the way, and it yields you with not enough speed to do the shortcut jump
- Can you carwash during a mission? And on a bike? And upon delivering here?
🔵Quest: Pulling Favors
Notes to self
None
Gold Medal
- 5m00
- Dont unhook in a way the game doesn't want you to
Collectibles
- USJ #17: Shortest on the route, but an awkward 180 turn required after landing
- USJ #25: out of the way, lines you up faster for end destination, but a bit far
- MM #27: one block further than you're supposed to drive. All of these are awkward, but getting one might be doable. Definitely not two.
After
Drive to Hao’s quest. There are no good random events to do in between.
- Packie’s is out of the way and ends next to Hao, despawning it.
- ATM Robbery Ruiner could work, but it’s low prio & seems wanted level’y.
- Mugging 3 is an option, but it’s out of the way and Hao despawns when you drive past Simeon.
MM #27 might still be interesting to grab after this, as well as USJ #17 and USJ #25, but a bit out of the way.
🔵Quest: Shift Work
Squishes 🟢South Los Santos street race
Gold Medal
- 1m20s lap
- 2m50s race
- 5 or fewer collisions
Collectibles
- MM #27: A weird one in an alley up a ladder. Can you warp to CP if youre not in the car? Does it work with the gold req.?
After
Either do Chop straight away, or do one of the following random events and then go to Chop:
- Security Van 1 → good because the next mission voids the wanted level
- Mugging 1 → Spawns too close
- Packie’s → Better elsewhere
🟠Random Event: Security Van 1
Notes to self
- Shoot the people, grab the thing. Wanted level is cancelled by starting a mission.
After
Drive back to Chop
🟡Mission: Chop
Notes to self
- Push a cart to block Lamar's door (a bit further back), stand in front of the door yourself and it teleports him and Chop inside.
- You can enter as soon as Lamar starts talking.
- Tab run to van
- Goes one road further east on the way south for the chase
- There’s some weird taxi company call strat you can do at legion square that skips half the chase????
- Cut diagonal northeast over the train tracks. Climb between blue containers.
- Chop can be pushed
- Just cut diagonal and wait for the dude where he falls
- Drive back: right immediately, past Legion Square's tunnel.
Gold Medal
- No Van DMG
- Chop POV 10 seconds
- Ability 7 seconds
Collectibles
- LS #16: Suboptimal because of the van's slow acceleration
- LS #19: Suboptimal because of the van's slow acceleration
- MM #16: Puts you on foot nearby. Tight timing to not lose the chasee
- MM #23: Puts you on foot practically next to it, while Chop does his thing
- USJ #16: On a route back, but not on the optimal route. Bottlenecked by dialogue.
After
Options are to go to Simeon straight away, or do some other stuff first:
- PP #7 is needed to extend the timer: Reverse into the parking lot behind you to spawn it, then just a straight forward line to get to it. Quick even with the van.
- There now is room for a random event: Mugging 1 seems to be too close. Packie’s is on the way’ish to Simeon, and works with the van’s parking after the PP too. Maybe squeeze in LS #8 before or during this random event. Security Van 1 is also an option, but the van spawns not ideal for it.
- Franklin Shooting Range at the end, and go on foot thence into Simeon’s. Downside: Have to leave the place. Better if we could warp.
🟡Mission: Complications
Notes to self
- You can clip the main gate by covering the car then sliding?
- FPV for running and indoors
- Sneak until out of the bathroom, then just jog in FPV. TPV jump in the little hallway to the garage
- Enter/exit to immediately trigger Michael
- 9 righthanders, 1 kick?
Gold Medal
- 5m00s
- No damage during Simeon fight
- Knock out the gardener (stealthily (very lenient))
Collectibles
- USJ #46: Somewhat en-route to Michael's.
- MM #10: To go with the above USJ?
- USJ #7: On the way back. Does this work with Michael in the back?
- USJ #8: Very unlikely
- USJ #44: Already done, likely.
After
Puts you on foot next to ammunation as Michael. Do the shooting range.
Quick save and load glitch to Michael's house. Alternatively squish a ? or Random Event before doing this.
Phone to complete the private mode tutorial, walk left to avoid a cutscene trigger.
Also, taxis exist.
Also, this is the time to do ammunation challenge with Michael. He spawns on foot pretty much next to it.
🟣Activity: Shooting Range - Michael
Worth 6/61 points of Hobbies and Pastimes:
🟢Hand Guns, 🟢Submachine Guns, 🟢Assault Rifles, 🟢Shotguns, 🟢Light Machine Guns, 🟢Heavy,🟤Special
Notes to self
Gold Medal
- Too complicated to write down
After
- Either QS warp to Father/Son
- Or slowly walk out and go to the marijuana quest and then warp to F/S. A car is provided upon exit.
- Mugging 3 seems to be too close. Could try it anyway with a minor detour?
🟡Mission: Father/Son
Notes to self
- Franklin hops on the boat after entering the tunnel
- Engine dies upon exit tunnel
- Shoot a guy on the turn right? He can be shot early and will die as soon as trigger.
- Slow down a LOT now
- Jimmy gets poled before an underpass.
- Caught Jimmy and shot a guy at intersection
- The guy must be shot as soon as Jimmy’s trigger appears.
- Franklin caught before offramp you can take
- Dialogue is bottlenecking the garage
Gold Medal
- Rescue Jimmy in 10s
- No damage (when? This mission gives you fixed damage...)
Collectibles
- MM #40: Out of the way
- MM #44: On the way but access to the graveyard is awkward
- LS #18: On the way but access to the graveyard is awkward
- USJ #28: Likely not ideal with the boat spawn
- USJ #9: Likely not ideal with the boat spawn
- MM #46: Alternative route from any%
- MM #43: Alternative route from any%
- MM #29: Detour from alternative route, good for setup to USJ 9
- MM #19: While waiting for dialogue to end. There's a PP nearby, so not ideal for om1
- MM #50: Out of the way
- USJ #46: Seems like a bigger detour than the previous mission
- MM #10: See above
After
Leave and phone cover warp back.
Potentially get MM #17 and warp back from there. Or maybe even a side mission or random event, like Paparazzo, though it is much further away.
🟡Mission: Marriage Counseling
Notes to self
- Up the ramp, a bit slower approach. Don’t haul.
- Looking back and phone trick prevents enemies.
Gold Medal
- No damage
- 5m30s
- Kill 3 enemies from inside the car
Collectibles
- MM #17: On the way? Not really
After
This drops you in a random park with no vehicle. Options are:
- Follow the Highway to Lester's house ala any%
- Along the way is MM #24
- Maybe USJ #24 followed by Security Van 10, Luring Girl Into Alley (test spawn), or LS #13
- LS #16 in the nearby construction site
- LS #19 followed by Mugging 2
- Humans of Los Santos - Mani
- MM #2 but it's behind a wall I think
- Gang Intimidations random event is right next to Lester's house. Small detour. No luck at spawning. → This spawns further north than the map indicates.
- Murder Mystery Clue #3
- Mugging #2 if we’re stalled enough for time. Does the timer start counting on mission passed, or when Lester hangs up the phone?
- Getting to Lester without triggering Security van 10 is hard. Can we prevent it from appearing somehow? Otherwise, we need to look for alternatives. Perhaps Chase Thieves City 2, or an ATM Robbery.
It also unlocks Chaos, but that might not be tracked. If it is, it needs to be done before (effectively) Carbine Rifles.
🟡Mission: Friend Request
Notes to self
- Phone: Up Enter Left Down Enter
Gold Medal
- 8m30s
- 32 seconds for the popups
Collectibles
Gold medal only allows for about 1 minute of detouring on this mission.
- MM #2: But it’s behind a wall?
- MM #19: On the way?
- MM #21: On the way?
- MM #48: On the way?
- USJ #48: On the way pretty much
- MM #46: A bit of a detour I think?
After
Stock market unlocked. Do we need to do something with it straight away?
Next mission is unlocked by simply running past the pool into the hedge.
This unlocks The Good Husband, a call will come in, it needs to be accepted and done before either Trevor or the heist.
🟡Mission: Daddy’s Little Girl
Notes to self
- Push Jimmy a bit off the stairs
- Then lure him into the car, enter passenger side
- Push red bike out of the way if not doing bhop strats
- Take grey BMX for bhop strat. If not, take yellow bike
- Swim sideways underwater to guarantee straight line
- No need to dive without the waves. Boat RNG if lucky.
- Call taxi for lines skip as soon as Michael says “Calm down”.
Gold Medal
- Top speed on seashark
- Dont fall or get off bike
- 1m00 to swim to the boat
Collectibles
- LS #11: Under the road, probably bad. Might wanna do it when you can deathwarp or something.
- MM #45: Seems good
- LS #9: Requires getting off the bike, voiding the gold medal
After
Any% Quicksave warps at this point, enters the suit manually, then hangoutwarps to Franklin to drive to Lester in sleep mode.
However, a couple side things are available at the pier:
- Funfair rides
- Human of Los Santos - Jesse
- Chaos is nearby if it’s needed. Still should take a taxi for it though. Unless you take USJ #9 and maybe MM #39 and MM #5, but both a bit out of the way.
Collectibles:
- LS #12 and #MM #18 are both on the pier
- PP #23 seems not worth it, it spawns next to NW #24 which isn’t unlocked yet.
Lastly, this is the second-last and probably best opportunity for The Good Husband. This mission conveniently ends at Michael’s house, bypassing the need for a QS warp.
Any% wants the Martin text to come in before warping to Franklin
⚪Mission: The Good Husband
Notes to self
- Upon starting, deathwarp to TP closer
- Wanted level takes 45 seconds to disappear.
- Is it faster to go to the pay n spray? Will need to not take the cop car.
- Apparently the wanted level can be skipped by starting the barber tutorial right on the same street
Collectibles
- USJ #47: Nearby
- USJ #48: Nearby
- MM #48: Nearby, requires climbin
- MM #46: Nearby in the other direction
- MM #43: Same
- MM #29: Same
🟡Mission: Casing the Jewel Store
Notes to self
- Run FPS to the store, hug the left wall. One hop then in TPS.
- TPS out of the shop, FPS to the car.
- Block car door upon exit
- Ladders’re done TPS. Roof FPS, upper roof TPS too.
- Vent FPS. Jump down TPS before the round building on right side
- Way back goes highway drop into securicar tunnel, then the train tracks sewer.
- Jump out into marker
- Any% picks Eddie Toh, Gustavo Mota, Paige Harris (all defaults)
Gold Medal
- 8m00
- All three things in one picture
Collectibles
- LS #13: On the way, but maybe better opportunity later with faster car
- USJ #46: This drive is done like a hundred times.
- MM #10: This drive is done like a hundred times.
- USJ #18: On the way back, parallel road to any% route. Awkward with bridge at the end to get to Lester’s.
🟡Mission: Carbine Rifles
Notes to self
- Through the parking tunnel
- Past Pay N Spray onto tracks
- Grass hill on left
- Keep left wall, camp by hole in barrier on the road
- Lester’s text means go. There’s also some Franklin call? Don’t get fucked by Amanda or Rickie.
- Park between 2 bridges near each other, then run back. Shoot floor for faster running.
- Shoot floor in front of FBI car to spook them?
- Let driver get out and shoot him last. Dont kill. Upon in car leaving, finish him off.
- Same route back. Go go go!
- Wait at end tunnel, hug right wall.
Gold Medal
- 2m00 to lose wanted level
Collectibles
Don’t seem to be any that are good for this
🟡Mission: The Jewel Store Job
Notes to self
- Maybe worth taking Rickie instead of Paige, so we get more money. Could be useful for mid-run asset stuff. Same for taking Packie over Gustavo, though I’m not sure the mere 2% is worth anything.
- Sanchez: Sharp left
- Don’t go over the overpass. Keep left, big’ish road.
- Drop down onto highway by that park, they will enter tunnels. Keep yoru sights on them with the camera button.
- Drive blindly. At some point turn left and hop into the drain.
- Hitting the trigger fails the mission. Is this ok for gold?
- Truck: Keeps sticking left. Turns to right side after overpass with big pillar in water.
- Ignore everything
Gold Medal
- 0m50s to leave store
- Don’t die during the sewer chase
- Steal EVERYTHING
Collectibles
This has the same drive that we’ve seen a dozen times now. But the van is poopy, so probably nothing.
There appears to be nothing in the tunnel (yet), unfortunately.
Truck’s slow. Probably not worth bothering.
- USJ #24: Bit of a detour. But no traffic, but no view angle, and it ends in the sewers where we want to be. But it’s the wrong direction. Awkward, but suitable if nothing better.
- MM #8: Detour, with slow ass truck. Probably not lol.
After
This drops you at the porn club. Exit in FPS. Cover on pillar outside for speed.
Might wanna do a random event, especially Simeon Yetarian. However the slow time to walk out of the club might be useful to get something else out of the way instead. Otherwise, Drive to Long Stretch. Maybe stop by the car wash on the way there.
🟠Random Event: Simeon Yetarian
Notes to self
- Triggered by making Simeon speak, then just leaving
After
Drive to The Long Stretch
🟡Mission: The Long Stretch
Notes to self
- Take Buffalo
- Combat roll into Ammunation, then covers onto the counter
- Only buys the shotgun
- GPS Route. Smash fence.
- FPS up stairs. Combat is done TPS. Pushing Lamar is done FPS.
- Runs into fire room, dies for quick respawn. If not dying, wait for explosion before leaving fire room.
- Helis must be killed.
- Wait for NPCs to climb ladder before hopping fence.
- Shoot the two approaching cop cars, and the third one too while waiting for NPCs to catch up.
- Into the storm drain. Up grass below freeway. Onto the road and to Franklin’s driveway.
Gold Medal
- 60% accuracy
- 10 headshots
- No damage
- 10m30s
Collectibles
- USJ #30: Bit of a strange angle, but there is time
- LS #8: Bit of a detour. Cop timer allows for this probably, but do the spawns?
- USJ #2: Detour
- USJ #45: Combined with #2. Might be even bigger detour.
After
Switch to Michael & QS Warp. Then change to Franklin and back.
The bike in the garage can be duplicated by switching as you get off of it.
But: We might wanna do paparazzo first?
Trevor’s Countryside Segment
🟡Mission: Mr. Philips
Notes to self
- Van is unpushable. Use it as NFS guardrail upon sharp left turn.
- You can get in front of it after the USJ but difficult
- You can shoot gas tank by two bikers to blow up them and many others.
- Deathwarp back with green propane tank upon finish.
- Switch spam at end to prevent more lines
Gold Medal
- Kill all bikers at the camp
- 12 headshots
- 12m00
- Push Ortega’s trailer in all the way
- Kill the two bikers during the chase
Collectibles
- USJ #3: Even any% does this
- LS #40: Can this be done without losing them? Really awkward too.
- MM #11: In Cranberry, out of the way though.
- MM #21: Slightly less out of the way in cranberry.
- MM #26: Driven past. Probably good here unless some mission takes you there.
- MM #36: Probably better to do this during the random event nearby
- MM #33: Nearby.
After
Drive to Cheng
Maybe get MM #33 and maybe #22 if youré feeling the detour
Are there quests nearby?
There’s a random event near MM #33. But the timer…
Humans of Los Santos - Clinton is nearby.
🟡Mission: Trevor Philips Industries
Notes to self
- Climb into Trevor’s car manually for quicker enter.
- Driveto: Mostly down the path, then over smooth brown hill through smooth desert and another path
- Onto paved road, no fancy shortcuts to the lab
- Immediately go outside. Shoot people, or blow up cars with gas tank.
- There’s armor. At some point leave and blow up the tanker to kill the last group on west.
- Grenade on: Car from behind. Mesa pulling up.
- Does a deathwarp after the shootout. Can’t do?
- Refills grenade launcher to kill the last two phoenices with.
Gold Medal
- 32 Kills (how many total??)
- No damage
- 6 Vehicles destroyed
- 4m30s
Collectibles
- USJ #29 if you’re feeling the detour lol. Reaching here.
After
- Takes a mesa to drive to Trevor.
- Maybe meet Human: Clinton. Likely better before a triathlon or offroad, or Cletus?
- Maybe do Drunk Driver 2 and get nearby MM #33. Puts you at the camp. Savewarp back doesnt work because no other characters. Deathwarp takes you to Palomino Creek. Could do the first off road race to get back.
🟡Mission: Nervous Ron
Notes to self
- At Ammunation, also buy: Micro SMG + Ammo + Extended clip. 1 Tear Gas.
- IDK How to do the ladder thing
- Blows Ron up for a skip.
- Only shoot the highest light
- After Ron’s thing, shoot the other light.
- Wait for the guy to step in front of the caravan, then shoot him
- Van guy as he gets out. Immediately control tower guy. Then a guy left of caravan. Then tower again. Then Ron. Then two guys by the oil tank.
- Sanchez guy appears behind van. Then helicopter.
- Quad: Shoot someone on control tower. Then shoot the gas station.
- Get them from behind. There’s many. Just practice and learn their spots.
- Jump off into plane.
- Tanker can be shot. Cars can be blown up.
- Plane is immediately trashed to TP into the air.
- Army Base matters not.
Gold Medal
- 5 Headshots. Does this need to be during the sniping, or ever?
- 12m30s
- Beat Ron to the airfield
- Fly under 6 bridges
- Kill all bikers while on the plane wing
Collectibles
- UTB #23
- UTB #19
- UTB #18
- UTB #50 - Slight detour up the mountain. Hard but doable and very satisfying.
- UTB #17 - Forced on stunt plane trial
- UTB #9 - Formerly marked incorrectly, this can be gotten here instead of 16 and 31
- UTB #31 - Forced on stunt plane trial
- UTB #24
- UTB #25 - What is this? Seems mutually exclusive with #24. Circle round? Mission time requirement?
- UTB #20
- UTB #21
After
- Buy Asset. Gun Runner Missions.
- Otherwise, take the buggy, and drive to C. Stop maybe for Arrests 1, or even Security Van 7 (if you have stickies). Hitch Lift 3 isn’t unlocked yet. Or maybe Drunk Driver 2.
- Alternatively alternatively, take a plane for UTB #49 and UTB #22.
- Offroad events unlock.
🟡Mission: Crystal Maze
Notes to self
- Drive the same rout to get here in reverse.
- Cut through the orange grove, then left of a low silo tank thing, approaching from the side.
- Park it slightly away from the house, inside the turn.
- Just run in, using power for god mode if needed.
- Grab a can, then run out. Tear gas dropped at the bottom of the stairs.
- Run out back door. Leave.
Gold Medal
- 10 headshots. Must be from the sniping point?
- No damage
- 1 shot 2 kills
- 80% accuracy
Collectibles
Don’t appear to be any on the way.
After
- Arrests 1 spawns too close and requires turn around.
- Security Van 7, if a way to get back to Trevortown is found? Deathwarp? But loses the car. MM #14 further down that road.
- Maude? Probably better here than previous.
🟡Mission: Friends Reunited
Notes to self
- Shoot at the start before even getting in the car. Why?
- Swoopy with the car.
- Take a route. Very offroad towards the end.
- Marker can be entered by going offroad and sticking left.
- Smash the orangered fence. Takes the USJ.
- Gets on the highway, then the offramp to put him onto the final road.
- Use Trevor’s power to walk the stairs.
Gold Medal
- 5 headshots
- No detection
- No damage
- Blow up all trailers at once
Collectibles
- MM #26 - Good car for this
- USJ #23 - On the way. Car isn’t very good with airtime?

- LS #35 - On the final drive? A bit awkward maybe.
- USJ #11 - Even any% does this
- MM #40 - If you make a sharp right after the stunt
- LS #18 - The graveyard you drive past. Good car?
- MM #44 - Same as above
- MM #43 - Not on the route, but a parallel route.
- MM #29 - Same
- MM #39 - Along the anyu% route, but this one’s on a roof?
- MM #49 - VERY parallel, too far probably.
After
- LS #11 before switching to Michael?
- But see what else there is to do nearby. There’s also a drunk couple, or Security Van #5
Blitz Play Segment
🟡Mission: Fame or Shame
Notes to self
- For once we don’t make that left turn. Don’t enter the yellow marker. Just jump out into the stadium.
- FPS push Michael.
- Enter passenger side.
- Just follow Lazlow, but not onto the train tracks. Stick to the road.
- Don’t follow into the drain. Stick to the road. Jump in at the end, bailing out.
Gold Medal
- Top speed in the truck
- Stick close to Lazlow
- Punch the man next to the parking spot (Does running over work?)
- Don’t unhook the trailer
Collectibles
- USJ #30 on the way to the stadium?
- USJ #2 with a bit of a detour
- USJ #45 with a bit of a detour
Doubt anything can be gotten during the chase, especially not with those medal requirements.
After
- LS #17? → Probably best by calling a cab and stealing it and driving over. To get back on the road, either drive, or do something as Trevor to allow Michael to ‘unstuck’ himself.
- Trevor gets put close to LS #19. There, do either Mugging 2, or Chase Thieves City 1. The latter puts you next to SubUrban. Loot it. This will provide a large chunk of the time required to reset the Random Events counter.
- Back to Michael: MM #47 (to extend timer further) , Pamela Drake, then Escape Paparazzi. During Escape Paparazzi, get Murder Clue 4.
- After that, PP #15, LS #24, MMC #2, MM #15. Start Dead Man Walking.
- Alternatively, Bike Thief City 2 is near the end point. LS #17 could be used to stall its timer. The bike is a bicycle, so useless.
- Available missions are: Dead Man Walking, Scouting the Port, & Assassination
🟡Mission: Dead Man Walking
Notes to self
- Upon waking up, he just runs, knocking out a guy in the final room on the right to get a gun.
- He shoots 4 guys on the way out the first area, then a 5th from the elevator.
- Medkit before the stairwell.
- Ignore the guy at the top of the first stairs, shoots the one coming down the second.
- Then ignores the rest. Shoots the glass next to the door and runs through that and that shot also takes care of the window.
- Left car, window shot makes stealing faster. Turn left and leave the opposite end, by the hospital.
- B-Line for the sewers, through some grass into it.
- Sewers can be left using a ramp that spits you out on the road that goes past the caryard. Then just go.
Gold Medal
- 70% accuracy
- 14 headshots
- 9m30s
- 4 kills with slowmo
- No damage
Collectibles
- USJ #25 is somewhat on the way. It takes you the right direction at least.
- MM #27 is on the way, but it’s up a ladder and might give the cops too much opportunity to catch up
- MM #34 kind’ish on the way. Same as above.
- MM #2, different route, out of the way, but at least this one doesn’t require leaving the car.
- LS #5 a stretch, but perhaps if the popo is being annoying.
After
- Buy the car scrapyard, LS #6, MM #35, USJ #49, these are all pretty much where the mission ends.
- Franklin spawns close to the edge of the city. If there is ever a time to drive to the spaceship mission from within the city, now would be the least worse. And it’s early! Fuck that, we can warp there. When warping to Yoga, warp by failing TPI replay.
- Trevor’s doing random crap. Not useful?
- Gang Intimidation is nearby and actually spawns now.
- PP #5, but more out of the way.
- Otherwise, QS home for the Yoga Mission.
- Can you QS warp as Trevor to his cousin’s house?
- Available missions are: Yoga, Three’s Company, Scouting the Port, & Assassination
🟡Mission: Did somebody say yoga?
Notes to self
- Push Jimmy down the stairs. Then just run to get in the car ASAP.
- Wow we’ve gone down this road before haven’t we. But this time we turn right :O
- Calls Cab Co to skip dialogue. Then Amanda immediately. Then opens the phone, and later puts it on Dave’s name before the final turn through the flowers, then calls Dave when the cutscene starts.
- Turns left sooner to end up at FaceBook, different route back. But then straightforward after that.
- Just land on the nearest skyscraper.
- Tab running to skip any animations lol. Random car from the street.
Gold Medal
- 15m00
- First Yoga First Try
- Second Yoga First Try
- Third Yoga First Try
Collectibles
- MM #49 near the burger shot. You can quickly enter this park. The quickest way to exit puts you by the next USJ.
- USJ #15 if you take the right turn one later.
- MM #29 Bit out of the way
- MM #43 different route, but not bad out of the way
- MM #46 Same. You cant get any on the way back.
- MM #17 After the hallucination. If you can get there while drunk. Good because you’re already on foot, though this one doesn’t require to be so?
After
- Youre at Michael’s house. Who knows what’s nearby. Hangout warp to Trevor? Bernie is just down the road then.
- The hangout warp puts you close to Mugging 2, but we’ll need to stall time before it spawns. Stall by performing yoga?
- Meeting Mani at a minor detour
- Available missions are: Scouting the Port, Three’s Company, Assassination (in the any% route)
- Really pay attention to side stuff that’s getting unlocked. Franklin? Trevor? Especially need to get those SSPs unlocked.
🟡Mission: Three’s Company
Notes to self
- FPS run, go into TP before the meeting.
- Cover run to the car and drive it to DAVEY.
- Right Left Right onto the highway
- A helicopter. Oh no!
- Just fly into the trigger at full speed. Low to the roof.
- 6 snipers shots. Reload.
- 2 sniper shots Switch.
- 5 michael kills.
- Franklin snipes heli coming from the right, then switch to Trevor.
- Turns around and goes in between buildings to get opponents to crash.
- Diagonal forward rights so Michael can shoot the remaining heli.
- Drive off to the right.
Gold Medal
- 7m30
- 60% accuracy
- 10 headshots
Collectibles
- UTB #16 UTB #15 UTB #14 UTB #13 - Near start
- Then: UTB #33 UTB #32 UTB #43 UTB #44. This can then turn left to do UTB #42 UTB #41 UTB #40 UTB #39 UTB #38 UTB #37 UTB #36, or it can turn right to do the following sequence:
- Or this can also be done if the previous is skipped: UTB #12 UTB #11 UTB #10 UTB #8. A left turn needs to be made at some point. Determine when, but can continue all the way if desired: UTB #7 UTB #6 UTB #5 UTB #4 UTB #2 UTB #1
- MM #34 is on a roof and flown over/near. Is the roof big enough?
- MM #27 also on a roof. Same thing.
- LS #14 is on a crane of the high building. Probably not the best, especially with parachuting unlocked.
That’s the most obvious stuff. The rest is easily ground accessible, but maybe squish out of the way ones if there’s no better opportunity for them.
After
- PP #5 is somewhat near the end point. Too near?
- Switching to Trevor yields a helicopter.
- That’s used to fly back to Floyd’s place in any%.
- God knows what to do now. PP #16 is on a roof. So is PP #17. And LS #4 but it’s more out of the way. What the hell is LS #13?
- Available missions: Hood Safari, By The Book (after 2.5h), Scouting the Port, Assassination.
- UTB #48 UTB #47 UTB #46 UTB #45 are all options. As is UTB #26. This can be extended to UTB #27 UTB #28 UTB #29 if desired. All the storm drain ones could be done too.
- PP #20 on an island. LS #10 on an island.
- Further north: LS #28 on an island. LS #30 by the sea plane. But the latter should wait for spaceship parts.
- Heli might spawn near PP #13
- Any out of the way collectibles not collected elsewhere can fit here. We have a helicopter, though the question remains how it compares against bikes.
- Any random events that are good with helis?
- Possibilities are endless. We could even transfer the thing to someone else. Draw some lines. Where exactly does it spawn?
- Do we perhaps even want to squish stuff in Trevortown with him, while we have the heli there? Perhaps LS #37 and LS #36.
- Speaking of, what is Franklin up to? Franklin can do some quests.
- Trevor can savewarp back to his house. He doesn’t need to fly there.
🟡Mission: Scouting the Port
Notes to self
- Drive, then shortcut through the storm drain. Up the left ramp at the end, then train tracks shortcut.
- Walks straight to the truck, using coverspeeding.
- Push forward from whence you come. Then back. Then forwards.
- Can warp into the handler by standing between the two hydraulic rods on the front.
- Wiggling is faster.
- Do speedy 2nd container grab without sl owing down.
- Just fall into the crane marker.
- Space instead of climb the ladder back up.
- After pics, aiming weapon fails the mission to warp back. Gold?
- Tab run out of Merryweather’s base. There’s probably a good car on the left.
- Take the road bridge back, then into the drain and back.

- Don’t fail the mission

- USJ #30
- LS #7 behind a wall
- MM #8 - Somewhat on the route.
- LS #3 - Awkward as shit with that boat

🟡Mission: Hood Safari
Notes to self

Gold Medal
- 8m30

Collectibles
- USJ #22 - Right next to it, just a bit too close. Need more runup.
- USJ #26 - How does one get to this?

- USJ #28 - Instead of 9. But the angle might be weird?
- LS #20 - Awkward
- MM #20 - Any route down this road can take this. Probably better to do this during towtruck?
